A basic introduction to quantum groups
10 mars 2026 à 16:00 --> 17:00
Speakers: Mohamed Salaheldeen (IMB)
Quantum Groups became a subject of interest to many mathematicians and revealed a lot of connections between mathematics and physics, including representation theory, knot theory, algebraic topology, algebraic geometry, quantum field theory, etc. The goal of this seminar is to introduce the basic definition of what is a quantum group (hopf algebra) motivated by aspects from representation theory. We will aim to introduce the Tannakian reconstruction and, if time permits, we will introduce the notion of the Drinfeld <a href="http://center.
