SUMMARY:Adela Zhang\, "Canonical local to global extensions of TFTs"
DESCRIPTION:We show that any 2D open field theory F extends canonically to an open-closed field theory whose value at the circle is the Hochschild homology of the E_1-Frobenius algebra associated to F. In particular\, the open-closed bordism category is obtained by formally adjoining iterated Hochschild homology to the open 2D-bordism category. As a corollary\, we identify the space of universal formal operations on the Hochschild homology of E_1-Frobenius algebras to be moduli spaces of punctured surfaces. This is joint work with Barkan and Steinebrunner\, and provides a space level refinement of work of Costello (over Q) and Wahl (over Z).In dimension ∞\, we establish analogous extensions of E_∞-Frobenius algebras\, which are corepresented by the ∞-category Gr of graphs\, to the ∞-category GrCob of graph cobordisms between spaces. In this case\, we show that GrCob is obtained by formally adjoining to Gr the factorization homology of the universal E_∞-Frobenius algebra over any space X. Thus GrCob parametrizes universal operations among such factorization homologies. This is joint work with Andrea <a href="http://Bianchi. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/15404/ » target= »_blank » title= »Bianchi. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/15404/ »>Bianchi. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/15404/

SUMMARY:Xiaohan Yan: K-Theoretic Gromov-Witten Invariants and q-Difference Equations
DESCRIPTION:The Gromov-Witten invariants are symplectic/algebraic invariants defined by counting curves. Their generating functions naturally satisfy some differential equations\, and play a crucial role in 2D mirror symmetry. In this talk\, I discuss a K-theoretic version of the Gromov-Witten invariants\, and present my work on the generating function of genus-zero K-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants of type-A partial flag varieties. Such generating function satisfies some q-difference equations and arise in 3D mirror symmetry instead. My method involves the idea of abelian/non-abelian correspondence and applies potentially to more general GIT quotients.. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16211/

SUMMARY:What happens when n is different from 4?
DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Sardor Yakupov (IF\, Grenoble) \nIn this talk\, or rather an antitalk\, instead of telling you what kind of mathematics I do\, I will instead tell you what happens in areas of mathematics just outside of my field of study. It will be an informal survey on topology of manifolds of dimension different from 4. We will give a quick historical recall of dimensions 1 and 2\, touch the 3-dimensional topology and dive into the world of high (5+) dimensional manifolds. The aim of this antitalk is to give an important context to my research interest – smooth 4-dimensional <a href="http://topology.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16485/ » target= »_blank » title= »topology.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16485/ »>topology.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16485/

SUMMARY:Mouhcine Assouli (XLIM - Universitè de Limoges) - Initialization-driven neural generation and training for high-dimensional optimal control and first order mean field games
DESCRIPTION:We introduce a neural-network-based method for approximating the value function of high-dimensional deterministic optimal control problems. The proposed approach exploits the relationship between Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle (PMP) and the value function\, which is characterized as the unique viscosity solution of the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation. A neural network is first trained to obtain a coarse approximation of the value function by minimizing the residual of the HJB equation. The gradient of this approximation is then used to initialize the numerical solution of the two-point boundary value problem arising from PMP\, enabling the generation of reliable optimal trajectories\, adjoint states\, and costs. This dataset is then used to further train the neural network through a loss function enforcing the HJB <a href="http://equation.We » target= »_blank » title= »equation.We »>equation.We next address the computation of equilibria in first-order Mean Field Game (MFG) problems by integrating the proposed methodology with the fictitious play algorithm. Such equilibria are characterized by a coupled system consisting of an HJB equation and a continuity equation. To approximate the solution of the continuity equation\, we introduce a second neural network that learns the flow map transporting the initial agent distribution along optimal trajectories. This network is trained using data obtained by solving the ordinary differential equations (ODEs) associated with the controlled dynamics. The iterative procedure is initialized via joint training of the value function and the flow map\, based on a composite loss involving both HJB and ODE residuals. Several numerical experiments demonstrate the accuracy and robustness of the proposed <a href="http://method. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16459/ » target= »_blank » title= »method. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16459/ »>method. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16459/

SUMMARY:Alexander Hock: Topological Recursion\, $x$-$y$ Duality & Applications
DESCRIPTION:Topological recursion (TR) is a universal recursive formalism that associates to a spectral curve an infinite family of multidifferentials on that curve. Its applications span a wide range of fields\, including enumerative geometry\, random matrix theory\, topological string theory\, quantum spectral curves\, and conjecturally knot <a href="http://theory.Recently » target= »_blank » title= »theory.Recently »>theory.Recently\, a new fundamental duality within TR has been understood: the so-called $x$-$y$ duality. This duality admits several incarnations across different applications of TR. In this talk\, I will present this duality and explain how it extends the framework of TR for certain curves in $mathbb{C}^*$. Furthermore\, I will show how the $x$-$y$ duality can be used to effectively compute string amplitudes (i.e.\, Gromov–Witten invariants) and quantum curves for specific mirror curves of toric Calabi-Yau <a href="http://threefolds. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16035/ » target= »_blank » title= »threefolds. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16035/ »>threefolds. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16035/
