SUMMARY:Yohann De Castero (EC-Lyon) - Parsimonious Inference On Unsupervised Problems: Incorporating Off-the-grid Updates
\nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17267/

SUMMARY:Luen-Chau Li: Vector soliton collisions\, Yang-Baxter maps\, and Poisson geometry
DESCRIPTION:This talk is about soliton collisions in multi-component integrable soliton equations and the mathematics which grows out in its study. We will use the n-Manakov system (a.k.a. vector NLS) as our primary example. In this case\, it is known that when two 1-solitons collide\, the map which describes the change in polarizations is a parametric Yang-Baxter map\, which is related to a special factorization problem on an associated rational loop group $K_text{rat}$. An open question in this example is whether the change in polarization map is a symplectic map. Motivated by this simple example\, we show how to construct Yang-Baxter maps on a variety of geometric objects\, based on factorization problems on $K_text{rat}$. Moreover\, we also study the symplectic and Poisson geometry of these Yang-Baxter maps\, which we show to be integrable maps in the sense of having natural Poisson commuting integrals. In a special case\, the factorization problems we consider are associated with the N-soliton collision process in the n-Manakov system\, and in this context we show that the polarization scattering map is a symplectomorphism. At the end of the talk\, we will discuss how such results can be used as the starting point to understand so-called reflection maps\, which arise in soliton-boundary <a href="http://interactions. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17279/ » target= »_blank » title= »interactions. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17279/ »>interactions. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17279/

\nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17056/ » target= »_blank » title= »Tsouvalas. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17056/ »>Tsouvalas. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17056/

SUMMARY:Simone Castellan: Towards K matrices for affine yangians
DESCRIPTION:The Yang–Baxter equation (YBE) and the reflection equation (RE) are two fundamental symmetries in mathematics arising from particles moving along a line or a half-line. The quest for solutions of the YBE (called R-matrices) is at the very origin of the theories of quantum groups and Yangians. Similarly\, solutions of the RE (called K-matrices) are closely related to quantum symmetric pairs and twisted Yangians. In this talk\, I will give an overview of the YBE and RE and explain how quantum groups and their coideal subalgebras provide a framework for constructing solutions. I will then discuss the problem of constructing K-matrices for affine Yangians and outline an approach being investigated in an ongoing project with Andrea <a href="http://Appel. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16484/ » target= »_blank » title= »Appel. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16484/ »>Appel. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16484/

\nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17094/ » target= »_blank » title= »diagonalisable.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17094/ »>diagonalisable.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17094/

SUMMARY:Michael Hitrik: Tunneling and Weyl laws for the $overline{partial}$ operator on Riemann surfaces
DESCRIPTION:We study the number of exponentially small singular values for the semiclassical $overline{partial}$ operator on exponentially weighted $L^2$ spaces on a compact Riemann surface. Accurate upper and lower bounds on the number of such singular values are established with the help of auxiliary notions of upper and lower bound weights. Assuming that the Laplacian of the exponential weight changes sign along a curve\, we construct optimal such weights by solving a free boundary problem\, which yields a Weyl asymptotics for the counting function of exponentially small singular values. We also provide a precise description of the leading term in the Weyl asymptotics\, in the regime of small exponential decay rates. This is joint work with Johannes Sjöstrand and Martin <a href="http://Vogel. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17058/ » target= »_blank » title= »Vogel. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17058/ »>Vogel. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17058/

SUMMARY:Ioana Coman: 3D N=4 SQFTs\, VOAs and chiralization of quiver varieties
DESCRIPTION:Vertex operator algebras are increasingly familiar algebraic invariant structures embedded into 4- and 3-dimensional supersymmetric quantum field theories\, where they encode distinguished algebras of local operators and capture exact information about the QFTs — such as symmetries\, defects\, protected spectra\, and dualities —while making VOA representation-theoretic tools available. In particular\, topologically twisted 3D N=4 SQFTs can support a vertex algebra on a 2D boundary\, which provides a new\, interesting analogue of established 3D/2D correspondences. [2312.13363] and [2606.23807] have initiated a systematic construction and analysis of such vertex algebras for a rich class of 3D N=4 SQFTs. This approach is geometric\, constructing vertex algebras as chiralizations of corresponding Higgs branches\, which are quiver varieties. This talk will highlight some key insights revealed by chiral quantization\, including distinguished embedded structures and relations among the resulting vertex <a href="http://algebras. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17052/ » target= »_blank » title= »algebras. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17052/ »>algebras. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17052/

DESCRIPTION:Christopher Hermosilla\, 9 h \nVincent Perrolaz\, 10 h \nFabio Camilli\, 11 h – Kolmogorov entropy of numerical solutions for scalar conservation lawswith convex flux \nChaque séminaire durera 45 minutes\, suivies de 15 minutes de questions et de pause-caféChristopher Hermosilla:On Hamilton-Jacobi Equations of Mechanical Type in the Wasserstein SpaceAbstract: In this talk\, we discuss the well-posedness of possibly unbounded viscosity solutions to time- dependent\, first-order Hamilton-Jacobi equations with mechanical Hamiltonian defined on the quadratic Wasserstein space. This problem naturally arises as the limiting case of a family of perturbed problems\, in which the associated Lagrangian is regularized by the gradient of a relative entropy functional. While well-posedness is well understood for the Hamilton Jacobi equation corresponding to the entropy-regularized (or perturbed) Lagrangian\, it has remained an open question whether the same viscosity techniques can be applied to the limiting\, unperturbed problem. The main contribution of this work is to show that this limiting case can be treated within essentially the same viscosity-solution framework as the perturbed caseVincent Perrolaz:Galois Connections in Hamilton – Jacobi Equations and Conservation LawsAbstract: Fabio Camilli: Kolmogorov entropy of numerical solutions for scalar conservation lawswith convex fluxAbstract:Following Lax’s information-theoretic perspective\, we study thequantitative compactness of numerical solutions to scalar conservationlaws with uniformly convex flux via Kolmogorov entropy. We prove thatconservative and monotone finite-difference schemes satisfying adiscrete one-sided Lipschitz condition preserve the optimal continuousentropy scaling established by De Lellis–Golse and Ancona–Glass–Nguyen. The upper bound stems from the discrete Lipschitz structure\, while thelower bound relies on a uniform approximation of BV functions. Thesefindings rigorously confirm the high-resolution nature of first-orderschemes in Lax’s sense. Finally\, we formulate a general transferprinciple for the lower bound and discuss its applications toinformation recovery via numerical post-processing   \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17080/

SUMMARY:Emiliano Ambrosi\, "Dégénérescences cohomologiques et applications"
\nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17067/ » target= »_blank » title= »Fortman.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17067/ »>Fortman.  \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17067/

SUMMARY:Polina Arsenteva (ENS Lyon)\, Kernel-based testing for single-cell omics
DESCRIPTION:Abstract : Single-cell data yield profound insight into the complex nature of molecular feature distributions. However\, they also pose statistical analysis challenges. A key challenge is the intricate geometry of these distributions\, which requires non-linear analysis methods. We propose a kernel-based framework for comparing conditions in single-cell experiments that allows non-linear comparisons of different cell populations. In this presentation\, I will explain how embedding the data in an infinite-dimensional reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS) facilitates non-linear operations on the data via linear operations in the feature space. I will present a linear model in the RKHS and introduce a truncated kernel Hotelling-Lawley statistic with an associated kernel trick. This statistic has been shown to have an asymptotic chi-squared distribution\, which allows to quantify the significance of the test results. The functionality and flexibility of the proposed approach will be demonstrated on scRNA-Seq pancreatic cancer data\, with a goal of comparing tumor and healthy tissues on cellular level.. \nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/16935/
